In a statement on Facebook, New Jersey indie punk quartet ROMP are calling it a day. The band released two records, the  rough-around-the edges “Sorry Not Sorry EP” and the more refined, sucrose sweet yet vicious “Departure From Venus”. A staple of the New Brunswick scene along with Screaming Females, their ferocious blend of pop punk and indie saw the band play CMJ amongst a slew of shows throughout their tenure.

Hi friends,

We have come to the decision that ROMP is no more, we are breaking up.

This band came into each of our lives at different times but always when each one of us needed it most. For that we are thankful and so lucky.

Mostly we want to thank those people who supported us through the good and bad. Good friends and family are what we will treasure most about this journey. There is no negativity between us, it’s just over. Look out for our other projects.
