Following an illness last Winter which forced Conor Oberst to cancel several shows with Desaparecidos and into his Omaha home for several months, the ever-prolific musician has announced the release of his latest record “Ruminations.” In 2014, Oberst release “Upside Down Mountain,” which featured more grandiose arrangements with horns, mandolin, and organ, “Ruminations” is a more minimalist composition, with only guitar, keyboard, harmonica, and Oberst’s ever-somber vocals.
