UPDATE: At 2PM today, the band released an official statement about Drake’s departure as well as, their last round of 2016 shows including an Asia tour.

Pity Sex co-frontperson Britty Drake has announced via Twitter that she will no longer be in the indie-alt quartet. Wrapping up a massive U.S. tour in support of their latest record “White Hot Moon”, the artist claims that after the band’s last show on tour in their home state of Michigan, opening for sunny pop rockers Best Coast. As a musician, her contributions to the group were immense, providing work as a skilled vocalist that worked well dynamically with co-frontperson Brennan Greaves. While the band has yet to make an official statement on Drake’s departure, we wish the best of luck to her and hope to see what future endeavors she has planned.
