Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders has become as embedded in NYC youth culture as much as Broad City (despite their support for a certain thinly veiled marketing campaign of a candidate) and Pizza Rat. With his mural on the corner of Franklin and Meserole in Brooklyn, across from the House of Vans and former site of such murals as Courtney Barnett’s “Nobody Really Cares If You Don’t Go To the Party” and Halsey’s “Colors” murals, as well as, support from Erica Garner (Eric Garner’s daughter) in TV campaign advertisements, the Vermont senator has been making waves trying to clinch the Empire state as his vital grab against she-who-must-not-be-named.
