Scottish electro-pop trio CHVRCHES have been busy lately, creating the follow-up record to their 2013 record “The Bones of What You Believe”.

About the new record, singer Lauren Mayberry made some remarks:

“Personally, I’m in a good place right now, but there’s definitely anti-love songs on there as well. “Leave a Trace” is the middle finger mic-drop. It’s about that point where you’re like, “There’s no point having this conversation anyways: There will be no resolve, I won’t feel better about it, you won’t feel better about it, no outcome from this will actually change my reality.” It makes me feel better to write about that—I’ve done something constructive with it”

The album entitled “Every Open Eye” is slated for release in September 2015. Currently, the band’s tour is limited to shows in Australia, the UK, and US festival appearances.

Tomorrow on Sirius XMU, Lauren Mayberry of CHVRCHES is expected to play a track off the new album at 2:30 PM Eastern with Jenny LSQ.
