Since his last performance at his alma mater back in 2010, J. Cole made his return to St. John’s playing a massive show at Carnesecca Arena. Sponsored by the school’s Pan-African Student Coalition, Haraya, the organization’s Spring Music Fest featured one of the biggest headliners possible. With tickets sold at $5 for students and $20 for alumni, the show brought out St. John’s personnel in droves on the first day for tickets as the general admission show was packed to the brim. Fresh off the heels of his record “Forest Hills Drive 2014” Cole set consisted of the majority of the record, along with some hits from his previous records such as “Power Trip”, “Crooked Smile”, and “Work Out”. Cole’s next NYC show on the Forest Hills Drive Tour features Big Sean, YG, and Jeremih alongside his openers from his homecoming show are rappers signed on his Dreamville Records label, Bas, Cozz, and Omen.
